Manila Strings have been entertaining a wide range of audiences across Ireland since 2005. Their popularity has grown year on year because of their flexible appealing style and they have performed at every type of event throughout the country. Manila Strings will transform any event into a fun filled successful day.

Fronted by Des (lead singer and percussion), Edward (guitar and backing) and Rod (Double Bass and backing) their highly contagious style has captivated audiences at Drinks Receptions, Dinner Services, Weddings, Formal Occasions, House Parties and Public Events. They have acquired many acolades over the years as well as a popular knickname of The Three Amigos.

Our acts flexibility means that they can perform acoustic which enables them to roam around taking requests or when amplified with full set up the percussion of Manila Strings gives that bigger band feel.

This traditional set has proven so successful, with couples over the years, that we had Manila Strings nominated as Dinner Wedding Musicians of the year by Weddingsonline.ie. Coincidently Viva Manila performed the same style set at the Weddings Online dinner awards night for the last two years.
